Your expertise in safely and efficiently operating equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders will be essential for the successful completion of construction projects.
This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders, to perform tasks such as digging, grading, loading, and compacting materials.
Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints and specifications to understand project requirements and equipment operation parameters.
Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safe operation.
Maneuver equipment in tight spaces and around obstacles while maintaining safety and productivity.
Collaborate with construction crews, supervisors, and project managers to coordinate equipment activities and meet project deadlines.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment components.
Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to maintenance personnel or supervisors.
Operate equipment in compliance with environmental regulations and project specifications to minimize impact on surrounding ecosystems.
Adhere to company policies, regulations, and best practices for equipment operation and maintenance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or earthmoving environment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Certification or training in equipment operation preferred.
Knowledge of construction safety protocols and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints and specifications.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in outdoor environments and inclement weather conditions.
Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Willingness to work on out-of-town job sites.
